About Christin Farina
b. 1995, Bronxville, NY
Farina is an artist practicing water-based media in Connecticut & New York.
Statement, in process (2019):
My paintings are autobiographical.
Through layering the paintings create a narrative for themselves, a timeline.
Each timeline is individual.
The works presented were done in water-based media, allowing for quick, in the moment decisions.
The small, intimate scale of these works asks you to get close to them and trace their tracks.
This methodology of working supports and attempts to understand what is going on, as it is going on.
(who knows if that’s possible??)
Farina obtained her BFA from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University (May, 2017).
